Live and On-Demand Video on Your Own Servers
Live transcoding to adaptive bitrate ladders, HLS, DASH and AES-128 HLS packaging, VOD from your Object Storage buckets, and FairPlay and Widevine DRM, on your own servers and delivered through Syntoric CDN.
Core Offerings & Service Capabilities
Comprehensive capabilities designed to deliver immediate visibility, security, and operational efficiency for Media Services.
Live Adaptive Bitrate Transcoding
Encode one live source to every rendition of a reusable ABR profile on your own server.
- RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP, SRT, UDP and HTTP sources
- Up to eight H.264 renditions with AAC audio per profile
- Stream keys stored encrypted and sent only to the transcoding server
HLS, DASH and AES-128 Packaging
Package the renditions you choose and serve them from an origin limited to the networks you allow.
- Time shift windows and segment durations per packager
- Playback URLs on your Syntoric CDN distributions
- Origin reachable only by your allowed networks and CDN edges
DRM With Your Own Provider
Encrypt HLS with FairPlay and DASH with Widevine using keys from your DRM provider's CPIX key server.
- Keys and provider credentials stored encrypted, never returned
- Keys sent only to the server running the packager
- Key rotation on demand
VOD From Your Buckets
Turn a video in an Object Storage bucket into HLS and DASH written back to a bucket.
- Short-lived links to exactly the objects a job needs; servers never hold a storage key
- Jobs run detached, one at a time per server, with cancel and retry
- Output listed and uploaded in parallel batches
Operational Architecture & Control Plane Guarantees
Rigorous data sovereignty, least-privilege security boundaries, and high availability metrics engineered for Media Services.
Deployment Model
Containers on your own Linux servers, managed through Fleet Manager.
Data Plane Isolation
Video stays on your servers and buckets; delivered through Syntoric CDN edges on your servers.
Latency Profile
Live segments from 1 to 60 seconds; changes reach the server within seconds.
Compliance & SLA
Encrypted stream keys and DRM keys, unprivileged read-only containers, every change audited.
Scope & Platform Capabilities
Live transcoding to adaptive bitrate ladders, HLS, DASH and AES-128 HLS packaging, VOD from your buckets and DRM, on your own servers and delivered through Syntoric CDN.
- Live transcoding of RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP, SRT, UDP or HTTP sources to an adaptive bitrate ladder of up to eight H.264 renditions with AAC audio
- ABR profiles: the ladder as a reusable profile of heights, bitrates, frame rates and encoding effort
- Packaging to HLS, DASH and AES-128 encrypted HLS, with time shift, from the renditions you choose
- DRM with your own DRM provider's key server: FairPlay for HLS and Widevine for DASH, with key rotation; keys are stored encrypted and sent only to the server running the packager
- VOD jobs: a video in your Object Storage bucket transcoded and packaged to HLS and DASH and written back to a bucket; the server gets short-lived links to exactly those objects, never a storage key
- Versioned services: pin each transcoder and packager to a release, move to a newer one when you choose, and keep older ones running
- Stream keys stored encrypted and never shown again; only the server running the transcoder receives them
- An origin on each server that only the networks you allow and your Syntoric CDN edges can reach
- Delivery through Syntoric CDN, with playback URLs shown on every packager
- Containers run without privileges on a read-only file system under a container runtime, set up through Fleet Manager
- Status of every transcoder and packager, and every change recorded in the audit trail
Implementation & Infrastructure-as-Code
