Managed Databases
Managed PostgreSQL, MySQL and Redis on Your Own Servers
Managed PostgreSQL, MySQL and Redis on your own servers: replicas and failover, encrypted backups to S3-compatible storage with automatic verification, point-in-time recovery, monitoring, query insights and alerting.
Managed Databases
Scope & Capabilities
PostgreSQL, MySQL and Redis clusters on your own servers: replicas, automatic failover, encrypted backups to your own storage with verification, monitoring and alerting.
- PostgreSQL 16 and 17, MySQL 8.0 and 8.4, Redis 7.4, run on your own Linux servers through Fleet Manager
- Read replicas, switchover and automatic failover, with replication over verified TLS
- Scale CPU, memory and storage, tune engine parameters from a validated catalog, minor engine updates in a maintenance window
- Encrypted backups (AES-256, a key per backup) on a backup vault or in S3-compatible object storage: AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Google Cloud Storage, DigitalOcean Spaces or MinIO
- Backups leave your server already encrypted, through links that each allow one object; your storage keys are never sent to a server
- Backup verification: each backup restored into a throwaway, network-isolated copy and compared table by table, row count by row count, with what the source held; on demand, after every backup or on a schedule, with an alert on any failure
- Scheduled backup plans with retention, point-in-time recovery (PostgreSQL and MySQL), restore into the same or another cluster, or create a cluster from a backup
- Monitoring: CPU, memory, storage, connections, queries and transactions per second, cache hit ratio, replication lag, active and waiting sessions, longest running query, deadlocks, rows read and written, disk I/O
- Query insights for PostgreSQL and MySQL statements and Redis commands, without the values they carried
- Engine logs, searchable, and alert rules on any metric, delivered to email, Slack, Microsoft Teams or webhooks
- Security groups and firewalls, TLS required on every connection, users, databases and PgBouncer connection pools
- Every change recorded in the audit trail
